Focus 

·  Provide strategic arts and cultural advice for the development of the Indigenous Centre of Excellence (ICoE), contributing to its vision, governance, design and cultural programming from inception through to opening.

·  Advise on the design and functionality of arts and cultural spaces, ensuring Indigenous-led cultural outcomes are embedded throughout the Centre.

·  Develop frameworks for the inaugural arts and cultural program, including exhibitions, artist commissions, residencies and public engagement initiatives.

·  Establish governance frameworks and Indigenous cultural protocols to guide commissioning, collections and programming in line with best practice.

·  Support the development of strategic partnerships, philanthropy and sponsorship opportunities with arts organisations, community partners and donors.

·  Work collaboratively with Indigenous leadership, Elders, Knowledge Holders and community stakeholders to ensure culturally authentic, place-based outcomes.

·  Contribute to the delivery of the State of the Arts: Indigenous Arts and Culture in Western Sydney report in partnership with the Centre for Western Sydney.

·  Advise on the recruitment of Indigenous arts and cultural professionals to support the Centre’s long-term cultural program.

·  Provide strategic advice on integrating arts and cultural programming into the Centre’s long-term operational model.
